INWIT - Infrastrutture Wireless Italiane – works in the field of passive infrastructure for mobile phone technology, broadcasting, radio, other wireless services and private mobile networks.
INWIT is the main Tower Operator in Italy. As a neutral host, is provides all industry operators with its infrastructure, which includes a system of micro cells and DAS (Distributed antenna systems) to cover indoor and outdoor areas with particular connectivity requirements.
Our offer includes:
- Integrated hosting services, providing: infrastructure for creating wireless networks, antennae framework, cabling, parabolas, spaces for equipment, technological systems for power supply.
- Creation of indoor and outdoor coverage with micro cells and DAS (Distributed antenna systems) in stations, hospitals, airports, motorways, shopping centres, stadiums and meeting and entertainment spaces.
- Site access and security management services, 24h supervision, scheduled, corrective and unscheduled maintenance.
- Design and construction of new sites.
- Fiber optic connection of transmission sites (Towers or DAS) to increase its capacity (backhauling)
INWIT customers include several kinds of telecommunications network operators:
- Mobile operators
- Operators with Licenses for radio transmission services in other wireless technologies (e.g. point-to-point and point-multipoint PDH and/or SDH, WiMax)
- Broadcasting service operators for the transmission of radio and television signal. Radio operators.
- Institutions, public entities, armed forces, etc., for the creation of private networks.
